HOW TO KNOW YOUR SKIN TYPE

Some ladies do not know what type of skin they have and how to take good care of their skin. In this article, i shall be telling or revealing the different types of skin, how to know them and to take good care of them.

Question: How do I know what my skin type is (oily, dry, etc.) and should that affect how I take care of it?

Answer: The best way to know what kind of skin you have is just by observing the way your skin behaves.

If your skin is oily, well, you have oily skin. If you have a tendency to have dry skin particularly in the winter, then clearly you have dry skin. The more complicated issue is for those who have a little bit of both.

In terms of trying to even out oily versus dry skin, a couple of things particularly for those who live in the cooler parts of the country in the wintertime, drier skin is going to be more of a problem. And the reason for that is if you work in an office or you're in a home, there's a lot of forced hot air and that lowers the humidity to desert-like levels. So the best things to do in those environments is to moisturize your skin. And generally speaking when you have dry skin, you want to use moisturizers. And on the face, creams are great for doing that.

When you have oily skin, if you're going to use anything on your face whether it be a medication or any other topical application, you may want to use a gel because gels tend to dry the skin more.

And if you have combination skin, it's just going to be a matter of trial and error unfortunately -- and that gets a little bit more complicated. But again, self assessment, trial and error, and you should do very well.

Better still, you can try the below method i tell most of my clients to use in other to determine their skin type

There are five basic skin care types: Oily, combination, sensitive, dry and sun-damaged. Your skin type is determined by how much -- or how little -- oil your skin produces. Genes, diet, stress level, medication and even your skincare regimen all determine how much oil your skin produces.

Rona Berg, in her book, "Beauty the New Basics," details the five different skin types. Here's how to tell what skin type you have.

Berg suggests you take the "skin test." Wash your face, pat it dry, then take a few pieces of rice paper or lens-cleaning tissue paper and press on different spots on your face. If your skin is oily, the paper will stick, pick up oily spots and become translucent. If the paper doesn't stick or pick up any oily spots, your skin is dry. If it sticks in your t-zone (forehead, nose and chin) then you have combination (or normal) skin. About 70 percent of women have combination skin.
Here are the five different skin types and their characteristics. Type 1: Oily Oily skin tends to shiny with enlarged pores, and is prone to blackheads and blemishes. You might experience some tightness.

Type 2: Combination/normal This skin type has medium pores, a smooth and even texture, good circulation, healthy color, may tend toward dryness on the cheeks while being oily in the t-zone.

Type 3: Sensitive Sensitive skin tends to be thin, delicate with fine pores. It flushes easily, is prone to broken capillaries, is frequently allergic and can be rashy.

Type 4: Dry Dry skin feels tight, especially after cleansing. You have a tendency towards fine wrinkles, flaking and red patches. In women of color, skin may appear ashy or dull from dead skin buildup.

Type 5: Aging or sun-damaged This skin also feels tight with visible wrinkles, slack skin tone -- especially around the cheeks and jawline -- with leathery texture and broken capillaries.

NORMAL SKIN

If you skin belongs to a normal type, the tissue will not reveal any traces of oil. Your skin should feel vibrant, elastic, and supple. Normal skin is the least problematic type.

It looks clean and smooth and has a good circulation and healthy complexion. Even with a minimum care, it will look good well into your advanced age.

DRY SKIN

If your skin is dry, the paper will be clean, too, but your face skin will feel flaky, dry, and tight after you have wiped it.
Dry skin can easily develop a sallow tone, wrinkles, and fine pores, and it is very prone to aging and irritating. It might still look great on a young person, but, to keep it healthy, you should apply thorough care and use regular skin or beauty treatment with natural masks and moisturizers.

OILY SKIN

If you have oily skin, the paper will have spots of facial oil on it, corresponding to the areas of your cheeks, nose, and forehead. Oily skin is problematic – it usually looks greasy, thick, coarse, and shiny, has enlarged pores, and tends to break into acne.

A good thing, though, is that oily skin is not prone much to aging and wrinkling. Careful cleaning, minimizing of carbohydrate consumption, and avoiding rich creams can be helpful in improving the quality of oily skin.

COMBINATION SKIN

If you skin is combination, like that of most women, the tissue will have traces of oil coming from your nose and forehead, but will be clean in the areas that touched your cheeks.

Combination skin has patches of both dry and oily skin, and it requires different types of care in relation to particular facial areas.

Dry zones, which are usually located on the cheeks and around the eyes, should be treated with rich creams and moisturizers, while oily areas, usually on the forehead and nose, will benefit from frequent and thorough cleaning.

SENSITIVE SKIN

Sensitive skin is usually very dry, tends to feel tight, and becomes inflamed and irritated easily. Typically, sensitive skin develops reddish and scaly areas, can be itchy and tingly, and is prone to breaking into spots. It is the most problematic and fragile type of skin, which needs a very special type of care. To get the right body products for this skin type too requires great research.

So, what type of skin do you have? Have you found great skin care products that work beautifully for your skin? Please do share…

AVODING LATE NIGHT EATING

Does this sound like you? You inhale a light yogurt for lunch and eat hardly anything all day so by the end of the day you are so hungry that all your discipline goes out the window. You have a night eating habit and are someone who uses food not as fuel but as an antidote to stress.

There are two troubling behaviors that come into play with night eating and those are mindless consumption and lack of portion control. This can make trying to lose weight extremely difficult and can also increase the likelihood of obesity.

Why do we eat at night?
Many women eat late at night because that is the only time of day that they get in any peace and carbohydrates offer stress relief because they raise the level of serotonin, the good mood chemical in the brain that makes us feel at ease.

Other diet minded women eat very little during the day thinking their self -discipline will carry them through the evening, only to have the strategy backfire. Going for long period restricting food makes it harder to eat reasonable when you begin to eat.

Tips to stop night eating?
Don't starve all day. Make sure to eat breakfast, lunch and snacks so you are not ravenous in the evening.

Curb your appetite- Try a drink that nutritionist call Citrus Chill which is a squeeze or lemon and lime and some artificial sweeter over crushed ice. Try on of these before dinner and after dinner.

Set a clear food cut off time - Try brushing your teeth at 7:30 pm and designate that as your food cut off time. This is hard at first but gets easier over time.

ANTI-AGING TIPS - HOW TO AVOID WRINKLES

What causes wrinkles?

Wrinkles are caused by both genetic and environmental factors such as sunlight, make up, exposure to chemicals , cigarette smoke, and other pollutants.

How to avoid wrinkles?

Avoid the sun.
Take care of your skin daily with a routine that includes cleansing, moisturizing and daily sunscreen.
Avoid smoking.
Avoid alcohol.
Avoid too much caffeinated beverages which can dehydrate the skin. e.g coffee
Drink plenty of water.

At what age should you consider using an Anti-Wrinkle Cream?

Start before you even see a wrinkle appear. Eye creams in particular are effective at supporting the delicate area around the eyes and preventing or stalling the development of wrinkles. For many of us that means start using then in your thirties. The skin's natural levels of collagen diminish with age and anti-wrinkle creams may offer a replacement.

TIPS FOR STARTING A NEW FITNESS ROUTINE

When starting a new routine - don't skip meals and make sure you are getting plenty of water. Don't worry if you have a treat - enjoy it and don't saddle yourself with a lot of guilt.

If you can start with someone else it always helps to have a workout buddy or some kind of support system. This will definitely increase your accountability.

Expect these types of emotions when starting a new exercise routine

Week 1 - you are excited and motivated about the new exercise regime but set realistic goals - it is better to exercise consistently 3 times a week then commit to do it five a week and fall off the wagon.

Week 2 - your still doing ok, maybe a little sore but feeling good about things. You may notice that your clothes feel better.

Week 3 - you may experience a plateau. Your weight loss may have slowed now but you are definitely feeling better and probably sleeping better. When in doubt - just show up for your work out.

Week 4 - Ask yourself questions like "what can I do better? Can I work out longer and harder? Set daily goals and keep them. Invite your mind into the exercise regime.

NOTE - the 1st month is the hardest. Making exercise a priority and part of your life is a long-term commitment but if you can keep it up for a month you can do it for a lifetime. But to worry it is just one of those things that gives the minds shaky thoughts.

All you need do is to be determine and be focus

DO VEGETABLES LOSE NUTRITIONAL VALUE IF THEY ARE FROZEN?

The convenience of frozen vegetables does come at a small nutritional cost, but fresh vegetables that have been stored at your fridge for a week or in trucks, trains, warehouses or supermarkets for even loner are not at their nutritional peak either. The more produce sits around, the fewer nutrients it contains. From the moment vegetables are picked, enzymes begin breaking down their water-soluble nutrients. While the ideal option is to buy just picked produce from a local stand or farmers market and eat it the same day very few of us have that luxury. Fortunately, frozen vegetables are a sound alternative. Freezing preserves vitamins, minerals and fiber for about eight months so you should eat your vegetables even if they are frozen.

TIPS TO HELP MAKE/KEEP YOU LOOKING MODERATE IN YOUR SHAPE

One treat at a time. It is ok to have a cheeseburger once in a while but don't use the justification that since you are already splurging that it ok to order the French Fries along with it. Allow yourself an occasional treat, as long as it is accompanied by smarter food choices like fresh fruit and vegetables.

If you can't just have one - avoid them. There are some treats that you can't just have one so it is best to just avoid those treats altogether. You may discover that a chocolate chip cookie triggers uncontrollable cravings but one square of dark chocolate appeases your sweet tooth quite nicely.

Don't lose weight for some one else. Reset your weight lost goals so they revolve soley around you. Sit down and figure out the benefits to you of changing your lifestyle. Writing down your goals can really help.

Keep a bikini or a skimpy sun dress on the back door of your bathroom so you can visualize yourself wearing it every time you head for the leftovers.

Genetics are not on your side but… there are still things you can do. First of all set realistic expectations. First of all, you may never be a size two but that doesn't mean you can't be a healthy size 10. Small things like walking to the grocery store, choosing the stairs over the escalator can really make a diiference. Research shows that people who are physically fit and maybe carry a few extra pounds as opposed to people who are their ideal size and not physically fit.

After that workout I can eat anything. Most people over estimate the amount of calories burned. After a great workout reward yourself with a bath or a massage not food.

Avoid buffets. Most people love buffets because of the variety but they also tend to overindulge. To be safe just avoid them.

Remember make lifestyle changes don't diet. Quite simply diets don't work long-term so you are better off to make simple lifestyle changes and keep them up over time.

Avoid the hefty salad. A salad heaped with tons of toppings can be just as many calories as a burger. Be realistic about what goes on your salad. Adding a ton of croutons and you might as well be eating a sandwich.

Sweet and Carbs boost your serotonin but thankfully so does exercise, sex and low-fat carbohydrates so choose wisely.

Just because you brought it at the health food section doesn't mean it is healthy. Organic potato chips have just as many fat grams as regular potato chips so be warned.

Pace yourself with the slowest eater at the table. Studies have shown that eating slower can be more enjoyable and led to less calorie consumption.

Let's meet for a walk instead of let meet for drinks. Either way you are getting the same social interaction but also doing something good for yourself. Studies have shown that having an exercise buddy can lead to longer exercise.

TOP BEAUTY FOODS YOU SHOULD EAT

In addition to antioxidants helping fend off heart disease and cancer, while keeping our immune systems, the mind and eyes in good shape they also are know as beauty or power foods.

The United Stated Department of Agriculture has put together a list of the 20 foods with the highest concentration of antioxidants.

The USDA's list:
Small red beans
Wild blueberries
Red Kidney beans
Pinto beans
Cultivated Blueberries
Cranberries
Artichokes
Blackberries
Prunes
Raspberries
Strawberries
Red Delicious & Granny Smith apples
Pecans
Sweet cherries
Black plums
Russet potatoes
Black beans
Plums
Gala apples
Walnuts

Foods that didn't make the top 20 but are also packed with healthy minerals and antioxidants include avocado, asparagus, broccoli rabe, and - dark chocolate.

There's another measure, called Oxygen Radical Absorbance Capacity (ORAC), which determines how foods absorb. Foods high on this list include kale, spinach, Brussels sprouts, beets and many of the same berries that have high TAC.

The perfect food ?
Foods with deep rich colors signify a very strong concentrated dose of antioxidants. And we have studies that show us that berries, in and of themselves, help prevent bladder infections and Alzheimer's, age-related brain decline. Berries have fiber, but the also have vitamins and minerals, and they're low in calories and they're sweet. So they're perfect."

Beans, dried or canned, are wonderful. Canned beans are just as nutritious.

One way to get a lot of antioxidants in one sitting is through a delicious salad. People think of salads as lettuce and tomato, but you can make so many interesting salads with so many personalities by mixing all sorts of healthy foods together

THINGS TO DO TO LOOK YOUNGER AS YOU GROW OLD

Try Thermage
If you want cosmetic surgery without the surgery, consider Thermage. In younger women, it can be comparable to a mini-face lift. For older women, it's an alternative to face-lift, but not quite an equivalent substitution.

Thermage is actually a type of radiofrequency treatment that uses heat to tighten the skin and stimulate collagen production. The Food and Drug Administration first approved of the technology in 2001, but only recently and after a series of equipment upgrades has Thermage begun yielding marked skin-tightening results.

The procedure is particularly attractive to people who do not want plastic surgery because it's noninvasive and requires no recovery time. The drawbacks of Thermage, however, are that it's still a rather pricey solution (depending on how many treatments you get, the entire process could costs you several thousand dollars), and clients usually have to wait three to six months for the skin's collagen to grow before seeing results.

Get a Massage
Massage is not just for sore bodies-it's also an important anti-aging tool.
Massage can help keep your skin nice and firm; it is like a workout for your face muscles. The idea here is that kneading muscle tissue improves blood circulation, which in turn delivers nutrients and oxygen to the treated area.

Regular facials, which involve massage, are the ticket to keeping your face looking young. The even better news is that massage works for the body, too. It is simply the best way to prevent and minimize the appearance of cellulite. It makes the entire thigh and butt area look smoother.

Even the conditions of this solution don't seem so bad. Massage therapist can reshape and improve women's bodies until about the age of 60, so you can start this at any age. (After 60, collagen fibers have difficulty retaining their full elasticity-at this point, they're like worn out rubber bands.)

Eat Away the Years
What you eat can affect how old you look.
Foods that increase inflammation and free radical production stimulate the aging process. The good news is that this relationship also works in reverse: Eating foods that reduce inflammation and free radical production actually helps your body combat the march of time.

What, then, should an aging omnivore eat?
Dine on low-mercury-"white-colored"-seafood and lots of green and white non-starchy vegetables, Eat these foods and avoid anything high in simple carbohydrates or fat-these are foods that can help accelerate the aging process.

Gobbling down white bread and sugar can also leave you (and your face) looking quite bloated. This is because, for every gram of simple carbohydrate a person consumes, their body retains three grams of water. Eliminate these foods from your diet, however, and in a few weeks, you'll notice a big difference when you look in the mirror.

Stay Young With Juvenon
Another key to looking young is feeling young.
The pill, called Juvenon, contains a cocktail of natural micronutrients that aid a cellular organelle called the mitochondria. Scientists often describe mitochondria as the "powerhouse" of cells because they are the source of energy for all cellular functions.

Research has shown that as we age, our mitochondria's ability to produce energy diminishes. Consequently, this energy deficit eventually and adversely affects our mood, our central nervous system and every organ in our body-particularly our brains.

Like grease added to a squeaky wheel, Juvenon works by supplying our aged mitochondria with its missing micronutrients. As a result, the mitochondria are able to pump out as much energy as they did during their youth.

So far, in preliminary experiments involving rats, the supplement has excelled. "All that I can say is that, if you are a rat, you have reason to be ecstatic," says Ames. In these trials, Juvenon-fueled rats had higher IQ tests, less oxidative brain damage and a better immune system relative to the study's controls. In addition, the rodents' energy deficit almost entirely disappeared.

But what about humans in need of a pick-me-up pill?
Nearly 100,000 people have already purchased the supplement online, though Ames says that he and his colleagues are still investigating Juvenon's impact on human aging. The biochemist also warns that the supplement's purported effect on humans (that it improves cognition, boosts energy and lowers blood pressure, among other things) is still, by and large, rooted in anecdotal evidence. Yet, the scientist concedes: "So far, everything looks pretty good."

Saving the Simplest Solution for Last
As you age, the color and texture of your hair changes and so does the color and texture of your skin. A lot of times, our old high-school makeup palettes and 20-year-old hairstyles just won't do.

Older women can start to update their look by ditching their powders and foundation (which tend to accentuate facial wrinkles and fine lines) and invest in a light, tinted moisturizer, instead. If you're in a cosmetics store, it's important to shop the faces behind the counter, the stylist urges. If you don't like the way someone looks-if their own makeup seems too wild-keep walking.

This approach also works when selecting a hair stylist. How you style your hair needs to change as you age. Just make sure you're consulting with the right people, and don't be afraid to ask for their input.

But what if your body-not just your face and hair-needs "updating"? Try body slimming undergarments. Creating a good foundation under your clothes will thin your silhouette and add polish to any outfit, the stylist says. Plus, these undergarments hide everything-stomach bulges, sagging skin.

The simplest answer to anti-aging is, of course, to learn to accept yourself-lumpy thighs, age spots, wrinkles and all. There is no scarring or anesthesia involved, and you're guaranteed to love the results

SKIN CARE ADVICE FOR EVERY AGE

Skin care tips when you are in your 20's
Your skin is at its peak of beauty in your twenties, however nurture its beauty and always use at least an SPF 30 sunscreen. This habit should continue the rest of your life.

Avoid oily makeup and coverups. Use an oil free moisturizer every day. This is also a good time to begin using an eye cream under the eye area at night.

Try using products that contain green tea which have shown to help reduce the risk of skin cancer.

Skin care tips when you are in your 30's
Your 30's is when your skin is beginning to become a bit drier and sun damage may begin to appear. It's time to start using thicker moisturizing creams so as to lock in high contents of moisture. Continue with eye creams at night and use your sunscreen religiously. Also, skin bleaching products may need to be used to diminish dark spots from sun damage.

Beauty Tip: Put your moisturizer on over damp skin. This helps lock in more moisture.

Skin care tips when you are in your 40's
It's time to kick it up another notch. Your forties is when your skin loses much of it tightness. It may begin to look dull and your pores may become larger. Blotches, freckles, age spots, discoloration, and changes in skin color may become much more visible. Retinoids, anti-oxidants and alpha hydroxy acids can improve the look of your skin and your 40's would be a good time to begin using them. Of course it's essential that you continue using a thick moisturizer and eye serums on a daily basis.

Home microdermabrasion kits are also an option that can result in a smoother more even appearing skin texture and tone while rejuvenating your skin's texture and color.

Skin care tips when you are in your 50's
Changes in your skin have reached high gear. Menopause has assisted in the loss of Estrogen which is what has given your skin its elasticity and kept it hydrated, however since those estrogen levels have diminished, you will begin seeing wrinkles form around your eyes, drooping eyelids and expression lines around the mouth and forehead.

Begin using anti-aging or wrinkle reducing formulas such as vitamin A (Retinol) or Glycolic acid products. Retin A has proven to reduce fine lines and wrinkles while improving skin texture, skin tone and color, as well as your skin's hydration levels.

Glycolic acid will trigger new formation of collagen to plump cells and reduce wrinkles on the skin's surface. Postmenopausal women can also use a cream containing progesterone that may improve skin elasticity and firmness.

Skincare tips for in your 60's
By age 60 all types of collagen are significantly below their youthful levels. There are, however wonderful hydrating creams that contain Alpha Hydroxy acids (Glycolic acids), soy, green tea and retinol (vitamin A) which your skin will need now that it is drier and showing major signs of age. The alpha Hydroxy acids will help reduce droopy skin and the retinol will reduce your fine lines.

Skin care tips for over 60
Your skin's texture will become visibly less smooth and you will most likely begin to see age spots. You'll appreciate the early care you've given to your skin because the signs of aging will be minimal, however, if you haven't started early you'll clearly notice the effects of neglect.

While it's never too late to take care of your skin the damage you already have will be difficult to reduce without special medical treatments such as botox or perhaps surgical procedures. All the above should continue to be applied but it is wise to consult your physician on advanced treatments.

If you're haven't yet reached 60, the best skin care advice is to follow a good skin care regimen at an early age. It's an easy habit to get into and best of all, you'll thank yourself later on.

AWESOME BEAUTY TIPS FOR EVERYONE

There are thousands of awesome beauty tips out there that claim to work on whatever problem you have. Problem is, they don’t always work successfully and you just end up wasting your time and money. Here, I’ve researched a list of awesome beauty tips that actually works. How do I know they work? Well, I’ve tried them! and they worked for me.

Powder Your Roots

If your hairline starts to look greasy, dig up a big, fluffy makeup brush, and dip it into a pot of loose powder. Tap it once on the back of your hand to remove excess, then dust it over your roots. It mops up oil and blends into your strands, so no one will know you didn’t shower!

Spot-Treat Smudges

Dip a cotton swab into eye-makeup remover, and trace it along your lids to erase any slipups or goofs when there’s no time to redo your whole look!

Fix a Flushed Face

If you turn red and stay that way after exercising, take an antihistamine like Benadryl when you leave the gym to reduce redness. Works like a charm!

Use Makeup Remover on Stubborn Lipstick

Don’t try to rub off red lipstick (which makes it smear across your mouth-not hot!). Instead, take a cotton ball or tissue, dip it in makeup remover, and just dab to erase the dark stain fast!

Tame Your Eyebrows with Eye Cream

Pat any kind of rich eye cream over brows to help keep them hydrated and banish those icky white specks that look like dandruff.

Brush on Hair Spray

For the final step of your blow-dry, spray hair spray onto your brush, and run it through your strands from roots to tips. This way, your do isn’t so plastered and stiff but still holds volume and shine!

Cure a Cold Sore With Cream

When a cold sore is coming on, dab a bit of thick moisturizer, like Aquaphor, over it to prevent it from getting worse.

Use Toothpaste on a Zit

Use just a pea-size amount. Let it sit for about 15 minutes to absorb the oil so the pimple won’t get more clogged, then wash it off!

Use Soap Without Water

You know those fancy bars that are actually too pretty to use? Toss them in your underwear or tee-shirt drawers to make your skin smell extra delicious!

Press a Tea Bag on Splotches

If your skin is sensitive or just looking irritated and puffy for whatever reason, steep a bag of green tea for a minute or two, let it cool down, and bad it over your face. The antioxidants in the tea take down inflammation.

TIPS TO ERADICATE STRETCH MARKS FOR OLD AND YOUNG

Stretch marks (striae) — pink, red or purple streaks on the skin — may occur where skin is rapidly stretched. Stretch marks are most often associated with rapid weight gain and pregnancy. Unfortunately, there are very few effective treatments for stretch marks.

Drink plenty of water. Adequate hydration keeps your skin soft and less likely to develop stretch marks. Caffeine can increase your risk of stretch marks. If you're stuck on your caffeinated coffee or tea, make sure you balance the fluids. Drink just as much—or more—water as you drink coffee, tea, or soda. Stretch marks can also result from nutritional deficiency. Be sure to consume foods that promote skin health: foods rich in zinc, such as nuts or fish; foods high in vitamins A and C, such as carrots and citrus fruits and milk; protein-rich foods, such as eggs.

Anti-stretch mark creams provide a very comfortable and noninvasive treatment but are not very effective. This is because creams do not penetrate beyond the top layer of the skin. Thus, they do not reach the layer where the skin produces collagen. However, laser removal of stretch marks treatment reaches the underlying levels of the skin and effectively repairs the damage.

Although lotions and creams containing cocoa butter or vitamin E aren't harmful, they probably won't help either. Some research has shown that tretinoin cream (Retin-A, Renova) may improve the appearance of recent stretch marks — those that are less than six weeks old and still pink or red in color.

Stretch marks are deep scars, or scar tissue, that appears as stripes on the skin. They are commonly found on the stomach, legs, buttocks, and breasts, but may appear nearly anywhere. Extreme stretching of the skin causes tiny skin fibers to tear. There is no known remedy to repair these fibers, though there are many products and treatments available that can help lighten stretch marks and improve the look of the skin.
Laser therapy is another option if you're looking to improve the appearance of stretch marks after delivery. According to the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, a surgeon can use different types of lasers depending on the color of the stretch marks. One type reduces the color of dark stretch marks while another stimulates the production of pigment-making cells in already faded stretch marks. A newer type of laser therapy can be used to stimulate the production of collagen and help restore the skin's elasticity in depressed stretch marks.

The results were nothing short of incredible and I pressed her to find out a bit more about where she'd acquired these remarkable products. It turns out she'd sourced a publication on the net providing a heap of home remedies and recipes for reducing the appearance of stretch marks using very inexpensive everyday ingredients. She went on to say that all of these stretch mark home remedies and recipes are completely natural and are easily obtained from your local grocery, supermarket, or health food store.

Skin Creams and Lotions – Lotions containing cocoa butter are rumored to not only help reduce stretch marks, but to help prevent them entirely. Any cream or oil that is made specifically for the prevention or treatment of stretch marks will help keep your skin healthy and elastic. If you are pregnant or breast feeding consult your doctor first as lotions can contain ingredients that may be passed to your unborn baby or into breast milk.

Research has made to know that COCOA BUTTER is more effective in the treatment of stretch mark.

SEVEN SURE WAYS TO GET A BEAUTIFUL COMPLEXION

Naturally beautiful, radiant skin is hard to come by. That is why there are so many great products out there to help you with all of your primping problems. Although you may think it’s hard to achieve the perfect looking skin, all it takes is a little bit of time and a routine. If you follow these steps through, you’ll be guaranteed a beautiful, healthy glow.

One of the biggest skin problems is the overproduction of oil which causes breakouts and gives your skin a greasy, shiny look: you don’t want that. Start off by cleansing your face twice daily with a mild cleanser to remove dirt, oil, and makeup. If you have oily skin, stick to a foaming oil-free face wash.

Use an oil-free moisturizer, preferably one that has SPF for during the day. Pick a moisturizer that contains antioxidants such as vitamins C or E. These moisturizers prevent your skin from enduring environmental damages

Keep your blemishes from reappearing by exfoliating one to two times a week. This will get rid of the dead skin cells. If you’re really prone to breakouts, try a benzoyl peroxide system. If you only have a couple of pimples, dab on a salicylic acid spot treatment.
Beautiful, flawless skin doesn’t just happen overnight. It takes work, perseverance, and most of all, patience. Here are 7 ways to get beautiful skin…keep these up and within a few weeks you’ll have amazing skin.

1. Cleanse Morning and Night

One of the most important steps in skin care is to cleanse your skin every single morning and every single night before bed. If you fall asleep with your makeup on, you’re basically giving bacteria a perfect breeding ground and you’ll wake up with some unwanted pimples.

2. Know Your Skin Type

Whether your skin is dry, oily, or combination, you need to get the right products for your skin type. So if you have oily skin for example, make sure that your cleansers, toners, and moisturizers are designed for oily skin. Also, make sure your foundation matches up with your skin tone. Again, if you have oily skin you should stay away from heavy, cakey foundations and instead go with minerals.

3. Exfoliate

Exfoliating gets rid of dead skin cells that can accumulate on your skin. This is important not only for your complexion but the rest of your body as well. Your skin cannot absorb creams and lotions if it has a layer of dead skin cells hanging around. Get a good, gentle exfoliator that you can use 2-3 times a week. Wet your face, and exfoliate very gently. If you’re too rough on your skin, you’ll just end up breaking the soft tissue and that’s when bacteria starts harboring.

4. Drink Plenty of Water

Keeping a healthy diet is one of the most important things when it comes to skin. So if you want a beautiful, glowing complexion it’s important that you consume at least 8 glasses of water a day. Oh and, no smoking! Smoking is not only horrible for your skin, but also for your hair, and well…pretty much everything else!

5. Let Your Skin Breathe

If you must wear a concealer and foundation every day, make sure you remove it as soon as you get home. The longer you wear foundation, the more you clog your pores so if you don’t need to wear it, don’t! If you do, just make sure you give your skin a breather and go without any foundation or concealer whenever you’re at home.

6. Take Vitamins

I’m not much for taking pills, but vitamins are very important and there’s just no way we can get all of required our vitamins and minerals in one day. To get beautiful skin make sure you take vitamins A, C, D, and E daily. An easier alternative would be to just take a daily multivitamin to help ensure you’re getting all of the nutrients your skin and body needs.

7. Pamper Your Skin

Find time once a week to pamper your skin from head to toe. Exfoliate, moisturizer, and prepare an all-natural mask. This avocado and carrot cream mask is one of my favorites not only because it’s all natural but because it actually works. The avocado combined with the carrots leaves your skin feeling soft, fresh, and young again, so don’t forget to take some time out for yourself in indulge a little!

Majority of us spend lot of money in buying drugs, cream and all sorts of supplement to getting rid of pimples but yet they still keep coming again and again. I have a self approach and tested way of getting rid of pimples naturally without side effects and leaving your skin healthy, smooth, spotless and wrinkle free. This approach of clearing pimples naturally is less costly. Read the following steps below and be free from pimples

1) GETTING RID OF EXCESSIVE OIL ON THE FACE:
The first and most important which many of us  don't take cognizance of is getting rid of the excessive oil on our face by taking our bath or even washing the face on a regular basis and using medicated or fragrance powder to rub on our oily face. This way we get refreshed everyday and oil free.

2) THE USE OF GARLIC:
Garlic is one of the medicinal plant we have on planet earth. It can also be used to get rid of pimples because of the medicinal power. How to use it in treating and getting rid of pimple, get 2-3 clove of the garlic mash it, wash your face or more preferably have a bath and apply it to the pimples face and wash it off after 15-20 minutes then apply honey as cream. Do this for about a week day and night and see what happens. Please note, if you are a type that doesn't like the smell of garlic please don't use this method but i tell you it works great.

3) ALOE VERA:
Aloe vera is used for any kind of treatments and also to cure some diseases within and outside the body. Simply get aloe vera plant apply directly or squeezing out it juice and apply to the affected part. But it works great when the aloe vera juice is mixed with honey and rubbed on the pimples face day and night for 2 weeks but i did advice not to stop using it because it keeps the skin refreshing and tender like that of a baby.

4) EGG WHITE:
Whisk the egg white without the yolk and apply to the pimple face, leave for 20 minutes and rinse with warm water. What you will notice after rinsing your is you will feel as if something was squeeze out of your face and stiff yes something really happen. Applying egg white to the face,it squeezes out the oil that causes pimple on your face and leave it dry smooth when you feel it. Though has unpleasant smell but works great.

5) THE USE OF TOOTHPASTE:
Yes you heard right. All you need do is apply toothpaste on the spot where the pimples over night till next morning and wash with warm water. Note, it is not to be used as mask on the face because of the adverse effect. Please note that it is not all toothpaste that work and can endanger the skin. Use toothpaste that does not contain SLS (Sodium Lauryl Sulfate). Because SLS is a common ingredient found in toothpaste and according to research SLS can cause irritation of the skin. So never use toothpaste as a skin treatment.

6) Tomatoes can also be used to get rid of pimples naturally by just slicing it and rubbing it on the affected area and wait for about 15 minutes or there after an see wanders.

All the above listed treatments work greatly most especially the aloe vera treatment and not expensive to use. If you have and questions or contributions you want to make kindly use the comment box below and we shall get back to you as soon as possible.
